Atlanta Skydiving Center Week in Review

David Champeau, Michael Pehrson, Kristen Kelsey, Michelle Duran, and Dave Padyjasek all stopped in to make some jumps. The crew from Michigan stayed through Friday and took advantage of the South's warm weather. Kevin Kaminski stopped in with his girlfriend Wendy Price. They visited on their way to New Orleans. To all who jumped last week, thanks for stopping by the DZ. Hope to see you again soon.

Congratulations to Brad Womack who just finished his AFF level 7. Brad cranked out four jumps on Friday in order to complete his goal. We look forward to working with Brad as he works to complete his A license requirements.

Saturday night, ASC hosted a cookout for all to attend. Kabobs were the food of choice as Mike Stone cooked the feast. The drop zone will be offering the complimentary cookouts every other Saturday at sunset. Come out and enjoy the good food and fun at ASC this summer.

Two of ASC's Own Compete at Lake Wales PST Event

High winds set up for interesting conditions for the first round of the Pro Swooping Tour in Lake Wales, FL. Twenty Four Competitors competed for a total $5000 in cash. Jonathan Tagle won the competition . Two of ASCs swoopers, Chuck Owen and Tyler Lawson competed in the event With Owen taking 15th while Lawson took 18th. Although the results for the duo were disappointing, they did manage to destroy the cybernetic annoying being known as Shimmel.

In team speed, Lawson and Owen teamed up and finished 6th. Meanwhile, it was Jonathan Tagle and Jay Moledski with spectacular runs to clinch the Team Speed event and take home some cold hard cash.

Round two of the PST will be hosted by Mile Hi Skydiving in Longmont, CO. The format for the event will be the same with 2 rounds each of speed, distance, zone accuracy, freestyle, and team speed. Stay tuned and see how Chuck and Tyler fair in June.

The GSL is Back at ASC

ASC is proud to welcome back the GSL to Cedartown. ASC will be hosting Round 3 of the GSL on May 20th. The event, which will consist of four to six rounds, will be divided into two categories, intermediate and advanced. Each 4-way team who participates will be given a free video slot for the jumps.

After the event, everyone can stay and enjoy another great cookout here at ASC. The food will be provided by the drop zone. All skill levels are encouraged to attend. We'll See You There.
